K, so now I am 37. Man it's hard to believe. God is good. I had 2 significant conversations with teens in my youth group yesterday. And I had some really great bday greetings sent to me in various forms by friends and some of "my boys". Whether it was at lunch, by email, MSN or a card in the mail or hand delivered I was really impacted and humbled. It really is just about being there.

I just wrote a paper for my counselling class too and invoked the story of the woman caught in adultery in John 8. The story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well, John 4 is probably my favourite. He was just there. Everybody else had their agenda but he still used those interactions in such a profound way that brought healing and restoration.

As people we need to just be there with him to gain his character, wisdom and insight. And when we "just be there" with people we can let him pour himself out too. It is incredible how he uses us to heal, commuincate worth and love.

Relationships, for me life is about relationshipsi. This has pushed me over the edge to join the ranks of the bloggers. So here I am!!

MSN Messenger helped me in particular while at BBC maintain contact with teens from Echo Lake and from my travels with Alive. Now, as I have become a little more static in my life situation and others are trotting across the globe maintaining those valuable friendships and connections can become more difficult. We have jobs and minstry paths (and time zones) that make it difficult to chat it up by instant messaging. In particular the blog has been a great avenue through which to share Josh's journey in Aberdooby.

I'm not sure what I've got to share with whoever may read this. A couple people I know have told me I've got some wisdom that has been of assistance to them. Currrently I'm having some new buttons pushed through my classes at Tyndale. A lot of what I share here will be influenced by the processing of these ideas.

So, with all that said, this will be a bit of what I'm doing, what I'm learning and hope that I can continue to stay connected, and share with you.
